Hi there, I'm Gem, mum to 2 girls (HELP ME!)
Lover of all things cake, especially sprinkles, I have a MASSIVE collection!
I've had a passion for baking most of my life, but really started decorating cakes in 2009 when my daughter turned 2.
Building up my skill level, and finally taking the plunge in 2014 with setting up Gems Bake House.
I'm still learning, there are so many recipes out there to try, as well as many many decorating styles.
More recently I've moved to making more brownies and blondies, every day treats.
But I still LOVE to make celebration cakes.
I'm fortunate to supply 3 local businesses and enjoy attending events where I get to meet so many of you, and hear lovely feedback.

Since discovering blondies, they have been my go to treat, a more cakey bake than a brownie, but equally delicious!
